Trois Canon Cafe @ Chulia Street

Been passing by this cafe for years...
always have a thought that ' it can survive for so long, must have some reasons... '
wanted to try out several times but due to the bad traffic and difficulty to spot a car park, in the end sure went to somewhere else...

Monday, things happened another way round...
we wanted to go many places, either closed or no parking and when we passed by this shop, there was a parking lot 'welcoming' us...
that's fate...

The owner was an Engineer, who studied and stayed in Canada for quite some times...
All the time, due to the Chinese Shop Name, I always thought that it's selling Taiwanese Cuisine...
I was surprised when looking at the menu, it was as if I'm in a random Hong Kong Cha Can Teng (coffee shop)...

They sell simple but yummie foods... I love their coffee !

This is a breakfast set, the aunty was kind enough to place my order tho it was already 2pm...
Macaroni soup with luncheon meats, served with eggs and condensed milk + butter toast / bun and Coffee or tea...
very HK feel, no?

Their croissant looks simple but really delicious...
they toasted the croissant becomes utterly crispy... above is with egg and cheese, bottom is filled with Tuna...

my all time fav - Peanut butter and condensed milk toast... Rm 2
their toast / bun all are really soft and yum yum...

Indo Mee with Egg and Luncheon Meat... yum yum yum
I bet this is many people's fav~

Korea Shin Spicy Ramen with Double eggs and Cheese...
this photo taken when the noodles is almost finished...
The cheese added a beautiful taste to the soup... everything is just so good...

Trois Fried Rice

One thing very different from the normal HK coffee soup, they sell ' Economic Rice set ' too...
hehe.. home cooked 3 dishes + 1 soup Rice set...
everyday different dishes written on the board, simply pick 3 out of 5 dishes...

Lumberjack Breakfast with smoked bacons, luncheon meats, sausages, choice of eggs and butter toast..
Available all day long...

Sausage B.E.L.T.
toasted bagel with sausage (choice of beef or chicken), smoked bacon, egg patty, cheese, lettuce and tomatoes...
This is very filling ! like a big Mac...

no joke, but me and bf paid 3 visits to this cafe in this week...
hahahaha... it reminds us of HK... I always a 茶餐厅 (hk cafe) lover...
I yet get bored over it... Still a lot wanted to try...  :P
Most importantly, their foods sell at very reasonable price...

p/s: R.I.P  MH17...  Deepest condolences to the families and friends...
pray hard for sad things to stop happening...

I'm Backed to blog !

I feel utterly bad to myself and this blog for abandoning it so long...
Just a quick update with my life... I have quit Dell for a year... (time flies...) and it's also the main reason to cause me not blogging since then... for the past 5 years, I used to blog in office... double screens + super quick internet....  *shhhh

before I quit, everyone or even myself also thought my life later should be quite free and easy... Some more told many people that I would have tons of times to complete my back log pending blogs...
thought vs facts always different... my new Macbook Air is 12 months old now, and today is his first time logs in to my blog... *shameful*

After Dell, I have no lappie... when I gotten my Mac, my house wi-fi is always or most time terrible... hence, whenever I m connected with internet, I will keep myself occupied with my works FIRST... that's why... !

For the past 12 months, I'm busy helping out my sis in her kids Art Class - Da Vinci Ayer Itam @ All Season... I'm the full time teacher there, and we just celebrated 1st Anniversary last two weeks...
Meanwhile, I'm really occupied with my own business - Customates Events... it was started with passion + interest + friendship in 2009 with my besties... it ain't a new thing, just that finally I have more time to focus on it after letting go my full-time job... with lucks and supports from friends... It's running quite well, and I believe would be better...   :D

life now, I have to work really hard on Fri - Sun... Monday and Tuesday become my favorite ' Weekends '...  --> my off days from the art class but still need to work for Customates... T_T

apparently, I only get to hae on Mon or Tues now.. won't miss the chance !
Thanks God, I still have buddies to do cafes hopping with me during normal working hours.. from 1pm to 9pm... hehehe

Eve and I had lunch at the quite new cafe - The Safe Room @ Campbell Street, few shops before Sugar Honey / Mustache Houz...

We had Smoked Salmons Scramble eggs on Waffle, Rm 14.90, BUT waffle not available, thus they served on toast...
The portion is generous, Eve and I had very hard time to finish our foods...
The eggs are not bad, but the 'cooked' salmon ain't for my liking...
overall, the foods are still OK...

Settled my dinner with Eve and Wan Khai at Basil, Le Bistrot @ Jalan Kek Chuan, opposite Dolce Pastries...

I was too full to have a main course, thus, I ordered only the Tomatoes Soup, Rm 15
and I LOVE it so much...
It's now the best tomato soup I have had so far....
the portion here for all foods are quite small, just nice for girls, but too little for guy...
the price range are more to a restaurant standard, 20+ to 30+ for any main course, the foods are delicious and I will definitely be backed...
already missed the soup once woke up...

xoxo, promised myself to blog more...   ^^

GUCCI Cafe in Ginza, Tokyo

seeing the decreasing rates of blog post year by year...
I feel so bad to myself...
so many pending posts in my back log...
after my Taiwan posts, I no longer blog about my holidays no more...
I'm Sorry...  :(

and I feel it's a big waste if I just neglect my Japan trip like this...
thus, I will update bit by bit today onwards... *try*

my Tokyo trip was last November (2012)...
it was a very packed but fruitful trip.. I gonna split into many posts...

this is about Ginza...
one of the unforgettable day... hehe

Ginza (銀座) is Tokyo's most famous upmarket shopping, dining and entertainment district, featuring numerous department stores, boutiques, art galleries, restaurants, night clubs and cafes.

after brunch at super yummi Tsijiki Fish Market (which I gonna blog in another post), we go to Ginza by foot...
it's not far at all, 15-20 mins walking time only...

3 mission to go Ginza
1) have a great tea session at Gucci Cafe, only available in Tokyo
2) shopping in Gu - sub-brand of Uniqlo, only available in Japan
3) visit Abercrombie~ woo hoo ~~~ I would say their 'qualities' are best in wOrld !!!   hehe

it was a multi-storey Gucci Building...
the cafe is located at 4th floor...
entered Gucci Store, they will lead you to Gucci Lift back then after letting them know that you're heading to the cafe...

it's not a very big place, but cozy and elegant...
big numbers of us separated into two 'biggest' tables...

everything is gucci...
even the leather menu...

there are 2 sets available daily which I think it's quite worth...
because the desserts and foods are REALLY good !
with first class services !

set 1 - High Tea Set
any desserts with any drinks, 2,000 yen (which is around RM 60)

set 2 - Set Lunch
any drinks, choose one main course (seafood pasta / risotto / and I can't remember d), any dessert
3,000 yen (which is around RM 90)

we all had high tea set, due to we just had super satisfied lunch at Tsujiki Fish Market...

Watermelon Juice

Gucci Cafe served Good Coffee...
good aroma, smooth froth and steamed milk...

Caffe Cappuccino and Caffe Latte

stupid me, ordered Black Coffee

this is the BEST Tiramisu I ever had in my life YET, so far...
no drama...
I don't eat every type of cake, very choosy..
and Tiramisu never my thing BUT I finished this whole piece by myself and couldn't get enough of it !
so so so nice....
10 times nicer than Bella Italia's !

Pannacotta, very nice too !!
and the serving so beautiful and efforts...

Caffe Machiatto, served with a piece of Gucci Chocolate !!

by selling, the chocolate is around rm 10 per piece...

vain ppl must self-shot in Gucci Restroom...

we had a wonderful time at Gucci, and continue our second and third mission at Ginza...

after some crazee time at GU...
walked down further, we saw this handsome, macho guy standing outside a building and we knew we have reached ABERCROMBIE Tokyo !!!!

omg !!!!!
I fell for him instantly !  *shy*

they give away free Polaroid picture with Abercrombie paper frame to customer...
love his 6-8 packs ! oh my~

all of us full of excitement and very satisfied with our Ginza half day tour !!!

I managed to persuade my colleague to fetch me to downtown...
lunch at The Mugshot Cafe !!!!
wahahhahaha...

it's right next to Rainforest Bakery @ Chulia Street...
apparently, both are running by the same owner...
(can assure the good quality of breads / pastries)
I'm always a big fan of their healthy grain breads and pastries...
4-5 years backed, they actually operated a Guest House too, named Olive Spring, if anyone remembers...
not long after my one and only breaky visit, and it was closed down...

* click * for reference...

when I heard about The Mugshot Cafe, I was so excited !
the owner told me, they will soon operate back the guest house at the upper levels...
still under planning stage...
stay tune, peeps...

a lot of full length mirrors to snap snap ! haha

foods and beverages menu are on board...
place order at counter and pay later before you leave with happee hearts...

apart from their signature Bagels, muffins, croissants, cakes and yogurts are available too...

I so wanted to try their Greek Yogurt...
few choices of toppings are available..
such as Kiwi & Honey / Jackfruits & Gula Melaka / mango & walnuts / walnuts & raisins...
I will make it on next visit...

pic with the owners.. haha

the baking stove is next to the coffee counter...
opened-kitchen style, to prepare your foods and toast the bagel upon orders made...

we sit at the back...
owners are so considerate to turn on air-conditioner and cooler fans...
tho it's opened-air, but you won't feel hot on such a weather at all..
I love...

heritage houses are so tall and long...

while waiting for our foods...

'Our bagel are great, but our coffee even better!'
is what they written on board...
no doubt, the coffee is DAEBAK !

Cafe Cappucino, rm 10
coffee aroma great goes well with the smooth froth..

Iced Cafe Mocha which recommended by the bossie... rm 12
it's good like milo peng~ haha

here come my favourite favourite Bagel !
I so miss the time I made smoked salmon bagel daily myself in Melbourne...
gOsh...
Bagel - doughnut look alike food but way healthier than it...

toasting up the bagel before served simply an awesome idea...
it made the bagel so munchy and the sesame so crunchy !

Bacon & Egg on Sesame Bagel... rm 10

it's just so finger-licking-good...
the mashed of mayo on top of the egg simply a plus point...

Smoked Salmon & Cream Cheese on Sesame Bagel, rm 10
generous portion of cream cheese plus a big and long piece of smoked salmon just so yum~

Corned Beef and Rocket on Poppy Seed Bagel, rm 10
